Here in my Kar

The kar98 was actually the 97th rifle to be designed by the Germans during World War 2. The kar74 was scrapped after initial tests showed it to lubricate geese upon firing.

  1. I believe is was named 98 as it was an updated version of the Mauser Gewehr 98 rifle which was first produced in 18[98]
    The Orignal model was the 98b which had chages to the bolt handle and sling swivels.

  3. I didn't need to do any research Bob my good frined i was the man who actually designed, built and used the rifle to kill the entire vietcong army in WW2
